For 2019, my inspiration for my 3 looks was “cowboy cool”.
Major influences in this collection were Kacey Musgraves and the recent cowgirl trend in fashion and the music industry. Textures like ostritch feathers, sequins and fringe.
Participated in the college designer showcase for Greensboro Fashion Week 2019.
My collection was inspired by the resort wear trends and different cities. Each garment is inspired by a city from around the world where the garment would have been worn.
For the UNCG Threads Spring Fashion in 2019, I showcased my junior collection which was title “NSFW”.
This collection was menswear inspired. I wanted it to look like I went into a businessman’s closet and altered their business clothes to fit women.

For my 2018 looks, I was inspired by movement, that is the reason for lots of ruffles on the garments. Texture plays a big role in these looks as the 3 of them are made from fabrics that look have shine to them and look different depending on how the light hits the garment.
The first two looks that are shown were made for the theme of the show which was “underwater”
The third look shown was made for the unconventional challenge portion of the show, the garment is made out of materials that would have been thrown away.
The rest of the pictures are from my collection which is titles “9-9” This collection is inspired by business casual dress code, but the point of my collection is that you could style it differently and go out with friends after a long day at work. I chose prints and colors that gave off a 70’s vibe as that was part of my vision. The concept to do a photoshoot at the pool was because the interior design of the pool gave it the 70’s aesthetic to match the collection.

This was my first time participating in the show so I only made one look. The top was inspired by Rihanna’s iconic picture in the ruffle blue dress made by Molly Goddard. I decided to make a pair of pants to go with it because pants were something I wasn’t the best at making and I wanted to get better at making pants.
This was my first Threads Spring Fashion show that I participated as a designer. The first look was for the unconventional challenge which the challenge was to make a garment out of supplies from a hardware store.
The second look was part of the theme portion of the show, the theme was fashion through the decades, so I made a 70’s inspired shift dress.
